It’s summer camp planning season Napa! If you are looking for a one-trick “summer camp” pony that keeps kids engaged, inspired, and genuinely excited to come back each day, Studio G’s summer camp lineup is a heavy hitter. Studio G camps are designed to spark creativity, build confidence, and give every child a place to explore taking center stage!

Each week brings a new theme, a fresh storyline, and a completely different adventure. It’s equal parts performing arts training, creative day camp, and stealthy confidence builder. Campers rotate through acting, singing, dance, games, and hands-on activities, so no two days ever feel the same.

What makes this a standout option? The environment. It’s supportive, inclusive, and intentionally small, so every child gets personal attention and feels like they belong. Whether they’re stepping on stage for the first time or already belting show tunes at home, Studio G will meet them right where they are.

Insider tip: Look for the camps that end the week with a performance or showcase — as an audience member, you’ll be blown away by what they’ve learned in this short timeframe. As a performer, they’ll be absolutely beaming with pride to show off their new skills and new friends!

Oh, and here’s one more reason to take a look… Studio G was recently featured in the Napa Valley Register (we love to see our local favorites getting their moment 👏).

Not a Register subscriber? Fret not, here are a few interview highlights from the article featuring quotes from Genavieve Gillis, Studio G founder and director, and her theater parents:

On why she does it: "This has all been a dream come true … I love seeing these kids form bonds and grow their confidence … The best thing for me is seeing their confidence and knowing that they can go into any situation and thrive. For me, that’s what it is all about.”

On the kids she teaches: “I get (kids) who might start out as Nana the dog in ‘Peter Pan’ and all they do is bark, but will then evolve at their own pace. That’s what is so cool about it all.”

Parent’s perspective: “(My daughter) carries herself with greater self-assurance, is more willing to try new things and isn’t afraid to step out of her comfort zone, both on and off stage.” — B.M.

“(Mrs. G) has an incredible way of relating to kids of all ages, and it’s a really special relationship she has with the kids. She offers them a safe space to be themselves and explore their creativity.” — M.B.
