What do we do when power seems to be taking away our voices (votes)?

We figure out how to bond with others in the name of something bigger than any single one of us. Stardom, prominence, fame: none of it matters when humanity is crying out for respect.

The insights which permitted me to live my community-oriented musical life came from a musician-intellectual who set up the music program for undergraduates at St. John's College in Annapolis, at the invitation of its founder Robert Hutchins. I based everything I did on proving his insights valid. They are. Never have they been more urgent than right now.
