A few weeks ago, I watched all five Daniel Craig James Bond films again.
It was quite amazing to see how one character can be interpreted differently across generations. The same name but a different story.
It made me think about ourselves. How often do we keep living inside stories we’ve already outgrown?
Here are a few words that stayed with me.
“Turning the Page” (English phrase)
Beginning again. Without pretending the previous chapters didn’t matter.
Every ending becomes part of the next beginning.
Insight: Reinvention doesn’t have to erase your past. It just builds on it.
Identity
The story we repeatedly tell ourselves about who we are.
Sometimes it’s true. Sometimes it’s simply familiar.
Insight: The stories we repeat become the lives we live.
Kintsugi (Japanese)
The art of repairing broken pottery with gold.
The repair isn’t hidden. It’s celebrated.
Insight: Growth doesn’t remove the cracks. It changes how we see them.
A thought to carry into the weekend
We all inherit stories about who we are. Some serve us. Some quietly limit us.
This weekend, ask yourself:
What story about yourself are you still carrying that no longer needs to be true? And let me know in the comments!
