August is an electrical month. It’s eclipse season, and a shift in consciousness is well underway. Hearts are opening, and as we shift into a more open way of being, our insecurities and false programs make themselves known. Everything you have been taught about fearing love, needing to control yourself, your body, or others in order to survive or succeed will show itself to you, so you can shift or clear the programs that are getting in the way of your growth.

Tension is rising as the waters of our bodies remind us that we are electrical beings with a system of water that helps us to cool and clear our field.

As our walls and masks come down, so do our fears. We see where our rigidity has been protecting us from harm, but also shielding us from the connection and miracles we have been wishing for.

We feel more capable, and somehow, more raw and childlike at once. We are turning on our psychedelic senses. We are moving from one way of being to another. Each layer we shed brings mastery through tolerating our clumsiness, honoring our sensitivity, and taking the risk of telling the truth we are called.

On Wednesday, August 12th, our hearts are on fire. The eclipse opens a doorway to show us where our creative identity needs to be upgraded. It could be that it’s hard for us to share the stage. It could also be that we are ready to finally take up space.

The background hum of this collective moment supports breakthrough. Venus in Libra is in a powerful configuration with Uranus in Gemini and Mercury in Leo. Uranus is pushing us to feel more, to understand the information hidden in our anxiety or irritability. If we can learn not to take the stories so personally, and to support our nervous systems, we could receive a brilliant idea, the bandwidth to develop discipline or a plan to commit to something we really care about, or a greater connection to our passion.

It is unwise in this moment to minimize our desires. While most astrological lineages do not recommend doing rituals or setting intentions during eclipses, it is a clarifying time. We see our reactive patterns. We see where the old ley lines of life want to keep us small, and where they are beckoning us to expand. While it may not be a moment to push forward, there will be electrical currents here and there, offering us a ride to our new timeline.
