Interview with Rob Lavinsky - Watch Video by TTI Unofficial Podcast
There’s Treasure Inside Unofficial Podcast did an excellent and fun interview with Rob Lavinsky. Rob is featured in Chapter 4 of There’s Treasure Inside and helped Jon Collins-Black acquire the gemstones and minerals found in the treasure boxes.
I’d recommend watching the video. There are more than a few interesting comments!
Here were my top 3 Highlights from Interview with some commentary:
Photo: Jon specifically asked Rob for a photo of him holding an mineral/gem specimen. Rob sent him the one holding ‘The Flame’. He said Jon edited the photo to look like that in the book: washed out and antique like.
Caption: During the overview process, Rob specifically told Jon it should be Red LEDGE mine - and not what is captioned- Red RIDGE mine. Not confirmed as a clue - it could have been overlooked in editing - but remains a top curiosity.
Commentary: The mistake of Ridge/Ledge may have been unintentional - however the edit to the photo was definitely intentional. Why make it look like that? It’s been noticed the photo of Jackie O on page 98 was also edited to look aged. Is this just artistic touches - or something else?
Rob said Jon had a specific interest in Tanzanite. On page 231 of the book is a photo of a 116.7 Tanzanite - which will be in one of the treasure boxes.
Commentary: This is highly of interest. Jon writes about the Tanzanite- “…first stone to be added as a birthstone in ninety years. December was the lucky month.”
December is the 12th month - North Carolina the 12th state. Is this ‘treasure’ in NC? If only 90 fit for that state - I’d be sold on it. But not completely yet.
The descriptive language used in the chapter (chapter 4) is all Jon’s. For instance, Rob said he did not specifically call his mentor, Carlton Davis, Alfred Pennyworth.
Commentary: While Rob mentioned Jon talks as is written - his use of descriptive language and details in the chapter certainly remain of interest - and are of his choice.
JCB has said he hid the boxes - they are not buried. However, searchers have questioned would they get buried over time?

I continue to consider items - here’s a few thoughts about a possible Hole Connection.
On September 12, at the Grasshopper Inn, Polaris MT, is a Meet & Greet with Searchers. This event is hosted by THWU - with Sandal and Justin Posey attending.
MysteriousWritings/MW (myself and hubby) will be there as well! I’m excited to meet you all - either again or once again! I’ll be bringing one of the limited Forrest Fenn Medallions from the Chase (only 50 were produced) to give away.

ALL searchers of treasure hunts are invited! There will be food and lots of fun - with a Treasure Hunt happening on site. (treasure valued into the thousands).
