8/19 Flagstaff Fire Department says the smoke impacting the city this week is from a management fire at the Camp Navajo military base, west of the city. 8/19 Chino Valley received $2.5-million from ADOT for the Peavine Trail South Connection Project. The town says the funds will pay for the final design and construction of the 2-miles of trail needed to close a gap in the trail system. 8/19 Central Arizona Fire and Medical is looking for volunteers to help with the September 19-th, “Prescott Community Smoke Alarm Walk”. Volunteers will help install smoke alarms, from 8-to-noon.
