Michelle Adams · My Reasons To Believe

The biggest struggle with managing a chronic health diagnosis is showing up every day for your life, pretending nothing is wrong, and using every ounce of strength and energy you’ve got to keep up the facade. People depend on you, and the world doesn’t stop because you hurt all over, are so fatigued you can hardly stand, and have brain fog to the extent that you’re not sure what’s next on your to-do list.

BOTTOM LINE UP FRONT

You can pour yourself out for everyone who depends on you until there is nothing left. God has an unlimited supply where you have none, and He meets you the moment you stop pretending you don’t.

SCRIPTURE

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”

2 Corinthians 12:9 (ESV)

THE LESSON

You get home, change your clothes, and sit on the couch. And you don’t move until morning. The cycle continues. Wash, rinse and repeat.

You have nothing left for anyone that matters. Not my kids. Not my grandkids. And most certainly, not my husband.

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

Matthew 11:28 (ESV)

You have nothing left for you. Nothing for the dreams the Lord has placed inside you. Nothing for the home you hope to create. Nothing for the calling of God on your life. You have nothing. Nothing left. At all.

But God.

“God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.”

2 Corinthians 9:8 (ESV)

He has an unlimited supply of energy. He has an unlimited amount of rest. He fills the gaps when you have nothing left to offer. When I come to Him, He meets every one of my needs. When I surrender it all to Him, He shows up.

SUPPORT THE MISSION

If you’re pouring out for everyone around you while carrying something that never lets up, a diagnosis, exhaustion, pain nobody can see, I want you to hear today that God’s supply doesn’t run out the way yours does. If this spoke to you, would you help me put it in front of another woman running on empty for everyone but herself?

PRINCIPLE

You will run out. God does not. Bring Him what you have nothing left to give.

DAILY ACTION

Name one place you have been serving from empty. Ask God to fill that specific gap today instead of trying to push through it on your own strength.

THE DAILY CHARGE

You are not required to pour from nothing. You are not failing the people who depend on you by admitting you have nothing left.

Bring it to Him. He has never once run out.

PRAYER

Father God, thank You for meeting me on the days I have nothing left to give.

Forgive me for pretending I was fine when I was running on empty. Forgive me for trying to manufacture strength that was never mine to manufacture in the first place.

Fill what I cannot fill for myself. Give me rest where I have none. Meet my kids, my grandkids, and my husband with what I could not give them today, and show up in the gap the way You always do. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

SUPPORT THE MISSION

If today reminded you that God’s supply does not run dry the way yours does, I hope you carry that with you this week. Delta 7 Women exists to keep saying this plainly to women who need to hear it.
