We're saying No.
No to NetZero nonsense
No to the Net Zero naysayers
And No to those who just want to kick the can down the road
The evidence is clear. The science is certain. The climate emergency is caused by the way we live our lives
We know that you and I can do things that make a difference? Maybe not a huge difference but still still a difference
And through our example, and loudly reminding everyone of out thinking, we can do our bit
Why are the naysayers coming out now? Why is Trump, the Tories and Farage being so negative about net zero? Because the hugely effective lobbying of the fossil fuel industry is desperate to save its business. They have been funding politics for years - Greenpeace estimate over 90% of Reforms funding comes from fossil fuel.
As green energy becomes even more cost effective, the need for fossil fuel diminishes. Yes we will see new tech accelerate this evolution - as carbon capture etc becomes more mainstream - but we can have an effect now.
If you can move your behaviour to being better at eating heating and travel - all of which are good for you and the planet - and probably your wallet to - we can make a difference. A positive difference.
So lets say No to the Net Zero nonsense take our argument to the naysayers.

Possibly the definition of an understatement is that my 19 year old Arcteryx Goretex jacket had seen better days. Held together by my hopes, dreams and peeling seam tape, I’d refused to consider the option of buying a new one. Infrequent use plus cost = denial.
Plus - I love repairing and know recycling should be a last resort once you’re out of options to avoid, repair or reuse.
Yet… skiing depends on a decent, weatherproof kit. Biting the bullet, I visited the new Arc'teryx store in Covent Garden. Trying on new ( £££!!) jackets I mentioned my forlorn, decrepit but still loved old one. Relaxed store staff insisted I bring it in to be repaired. Transpired I had unknowingly wandered into their only European repair centre staffed by a knowledgeable, charming team who swiftly helped me get over my embarrassment at the state of my jacket.
Another specialist sports company declared my jacket unrepairable. Nonsense. Arc'teryx could and would fix it unfortunately not quite in time for me departing for the Alps just days later.
I was offered a repair and recycling option with a 40% discount on a new jacket. My old jacket lives on. As well as being good for me and the planet this makes smart business sense. Arcteryx nailed their sale in addition to this glowing endorsement and free marketing. I've told everyone, natch.
