Si Wall · My Crimson Stage

So, the hunt is on! The search for the creative team behind Crimson Stage has officially begun — and, as always, I’m reminded that the people I’m looking for might just be… unicorns. 🦄

Every time I reach this stage of a project, it feels a little impossible — like trying to find mythical creatures who can juggle vision, talent, and a touch of magic. But that’s exactly what makes it exciting

.

At the top of my list is a Producer — the cornerstone of the whole operation. This is the person who’ll help decide who else joins the creative team, so it’s vital to get that partnership right. Once that piece falls into place, the rest of the puzzle starts to make sense.

I’ve also just discovered two fantastic circus performance schools that could be a perfect fit for the show. Crimson Stage isn’t a circus piece per se, but it does have circus elements woven throughout, and we want those moments to feel authentic.

The idea of watching the cast grow into fully rounded performers — blending theatre, music, and physical performance — absolutely thrills me. I can already picture the energy they’ll bring to the stage.

Now, onto choreography. Let’s just say… I might have outdone myself this time.

There are currently 26 musical numbers, with a possible two more on the horizon. Many need choreography, some demand circus performance, and a few require both at once! It’s going to be intense — in the best possible way.

I can already feel the adrenaline (and maybe the coffee consumption) rising!

I think every storyteller can relate to this next part: when it’s your own creation — your “baby” — you just want the best for it. You’ve poured in the late nights, the rewrites, the “what ifs,” and the “just one more tweaks,” and now you have to hand it over to others.

It’s a bit like sending your child off to school — you’ve done your best to teach them kindness, confidence, and curiosity, and now it’s time for someone else to help them grow. It’s exciting, but yes… a little nerve-wracking too!

So — to the Producers, Investors, Choreographers, Composers, Arrangers, Dance & Vocal Captains, Costume Designers, Make-up Artists, Sound & Lighting Designers out there…

I can’t wait to meet you.

And fair warning — I’ll probably drive you slightly mad with my ideas, my imagination, and my unshakable belief that together, we can make something truly magical.

Here’s to finding the unicorns. 🦄✨
