Life has a way of testing our footing. One day the ground feels steady, and the next, it trembles beneath us. In those moments, when the storms rage and our plans fall apart, faith becomes our anchor. It doesn’t stop the wind from blowing — but it reminds us Who controls the wind.
When I was writing Little Miracles of Katrina, I thought often about how faith carried us through the unimaginable. There’s one moment I’ll never forget: my sister and her family were trapped by floodwaters, terrified and unsure of what to do next. Out of nowhere, a distant cousin — someone we hadn’t spoken to in years — appeared with a van, a full tank of gas, and the courage to drive straight into the chaos to rescue them.
That’s what faith looks like in motion. It’s not just believing that God can perform miracles — it’s recognizing that sometimes, we are the miracle He sends.
So when life feels uncertain, stand firm. Hold your faith close. Look around and notice the small mercies — the sunrise after the storm, the kindness of a stranger, the unexpected phone call that comes at just the right time. Those are the quiet ways God reminds us He’s still here.
💛 Have you witnessed a “little miracle” in your own life?
I’d love for you to share your thoughts or stories in the comments so we can encourage one another in faith and gratitude.
