Christianity & Human Origins will run for 16 weeks: January 14th through April 29th. Seats are available on campus at HCU and remote attendance is possible via Microsoft Teams. The course is open to graduate students, undergraduates, and surveyors.

Topics will include paleoanthropology (human fossils), genetics, the birth of human culture (tools, cave paintings), and the historical Adam debate. Various scientific models of human origins and theological positions will be critically evaluated.

Course materials will include textbooks, weekly lectures, scholarly essays, and select online media.

  • The Comprehensive Guide to Science and Faith edited by William Dembski, Casey Luskin, and Joseph Holden

  • Perspectives on the Historical Adam and Eve: Four Views edited by Kenneth D. Keathley

  • New Explorations in the Lost World of Genesis by John H. Walton
