I loved Lynn Enright’s interview with Lisa Owens, the author of Natural Disaster - a novel following a mum-of-two the day before she goes back to work after her final maternity leave. Owens talks about her own experience of mothering a baby and toddler in tandem, and the impact kids have on a relationship. It's great! And I've just ordered the book.
Natasha Lunn is incredibly insightful and eloquent on the subjects of love and relationships (if you haven't yet, read her book). I loved her latest post on staying in love when you have young kids - honest, touching and food for thought.
My daughter won't let me brush her hair, even with a Tangle Teaser (although her key worker at nursery is allowed to do French braids?!). Recently we’ve had a breakthrough - she discovered my dry body brush and, as long as I pretend she's a pony, I can tackle her knots with gusto.
I've really enjoyed looking at the pictures from Copenhagen Fashion Week, which took place this week. Widely regarded as the most chilled - and probably fun - of all the fashion cities, it's a reliable source of colourful and zany street style. Cute accessories abound, as does inspiration for chic (if not totally practical) outfits to wear when riding a bicycle - the preferred mode of transport for the attending editors and influencers. But what's really caught my eye this season is all the amazing pregnancy looks: jackets and shirts worn open over bare bumps; low-slung shorts; crops tops; lacey coords.

While I'm not sure I’d be able to pull of such bold outfits (although the belly gems are a lot of fun!) I love how playful and expressive they are - two things I certainly didn't feel when trying to dress myself when pregnant. They also challenge the traditional maternity style rules that dictates everything is hidden away under tent dresses and giant dungarees, which is so valuable in the wider conversation around what motherhood can/should/does look like now.
I'm about to head off to Treyarnon Bay caravan site for seven days of beach, eat, sleep, repeat. There will be kicked over sandcastles! Meltdowns over dropped ice creams! Crack of dawn wake-ups! Way too much pizza! I've bought a bumper crossword book to do with a glass of wine and booked a massage at The Pig which is v close by. Heaven!
