I use Duplicati to backup data to a Nextcloud instance via WebDav which works reliable. Usually I update whenever I see the notification that a new update is available but this didn’t work well last time.
I document it here since I couldn’t find anything on the Duplicati forum. Maybe it helps others searching for this problem.
The update to 2.1.0.2 itself worked but afterwards the connection to Nextcloud broke with an HTTP 403 error. The issue was specific to the Nextcloud connection. A connection to OneDrive worked without an error.
Initially I thought it maybe caused by a Nextcloud update I had done as well but I confirmed that WebDav to Nextcloud worked using a WebDav client.
I rolled back to version 2.0.8.1 by uninstalling the new version and installing the previous one. Also I had to use the database backups since the new version has a different version info. That solved the issue for now.
Let’s see if the developers publish a bug fix version.
