Chanel Riggle · Motherhood Minute

If you work in marketing, I think you’ll understand how difficult it is to market yourself despite your career experience marketing others.

Which is how I made the mistake of not updating my free/paid subscriber emails for a year.

Pretty brilliant, eh? Consider this email the updated welcome letter you deserved but didn’t get. (I have now updated my settings for new followers. Woo!)

Motherhood Minute is an online and printed publication designed to provide moms with mental health resources, creativity, and community.

Chanel Riggle (hey that’s me!) helps create spaces where mothers can pause, connect, and build community.

She began the Motherhood Minute newsletter in 2022, founded and organized over 32 speakers for the Mental Health & Motherhood virtual summit events. She created the Motherhood Minute magazine as an effort to bring more mothers community outside of their screens. She’s a mother, wife, writer, coffee-drinker, marketer, and follower of Christ. Connect with her at https://www.chanelriggle.com/ or Chanel Riggle on Substack

Motherhood Minute started out as a newsletter written in the 2 am hours of my early parenthood journey. It grew from a quiet place of personal reflection to a community-driven experiment that could uplift the experiences of mothers outside of my own.

We’ve featured guest posts, interviewed mothers of all backgrounds, and created two amazing virtual Mental Health and Motherhood summits with a combined total of 37 speakers.

We’ve had a core mission statement guiding all of this work: to connect mothers with mental health resources and offer a low-barrier approach that deeply values community and connection.

After the 2025 summit survey, we found that:

» 75% of surveyed moms said the online format allowed them to watch around caregiving responsibilities

» 100% of surveyed moms agreed that this event made them more aware of mental health resources for mothers.

But a barrier still remained: caregiving was also the primary factor for missing out on live events or recording access.

This was no surprise to me, as I found myself sewing a pair of shorts for my daughter mid-session of the last event, despite having a supportive husband trying to keep my office from interruptions. Since I can’t solve the larger problem of accessible childcare on my own, I started thinking about another practical way to meet mothers where they are.

» The online Motherhood Minute is full of free reads for you to access and includes podcast that features many interviews from authors, speakers, and mental health advocated.

» In the printed magazine you’ll also read about topics of mental health, motherhood, creativity, and community. Buy the magazine here!

I’d love it if you could support the mission by sharing the Motherhood Minute with someone else who needs to know their complicated life doesn’t need to be an isolating one.
