You could read this newsletter as a sequel to one of my recent editions: I Think I Forgot How To Wear Colour. Looking back, I think that title summed up my problem pretty well. Because the truth is, I just don’t wear much colour anymore. At least I haven’t for the past few years.
It wasn’t one single thing that got me there. Trends definitely played a part. So did the whole quiet luxury era, the brands I naturally gravitate towards, and, quite honestly, what was actually available to buy. But I also blame my friends. Most of them barely wear colour, yet somehow always look impossibly chic. Somewhere along the way, I convinced myself that elegance lived in a palette of neutrals, and without really noticing, I slowly edited almost every bright colour out of my wardrobe.
