As we enter the New Year, many of us are desperate for a fresh start. I don’t know anyone who found 2025 to be a particularly easy year, and I know many of us are hungry for a major reset. The Gregorian calendar we anchor our lives to offers a symbolic turning of the page as we step into 2026. In the year ahead, and in the here and now, I’m honored to walk with you, offering resources to deepen your self-care and strengthen your self-empowerment. This is a year in which you WILL overcome many of the things you avoided last year. And I’m here to help you move through it, with celebrations along the way.
Though there are many things happening worldwide and within the US that cause me great concern, I choose not to talk about those realities here. This space is a respite from the pain we witness in the news and in our lives. I know well, there will always be injustices that I find horrific and wrong. But here, I can offer you a big breath of relief. Here, I can provide words as soft as pillows and stabilizing like the sturdiest chair, a place for you to lay your big beautiful heart. Here is a a safe haven for the inner self within us all, a place for us to restore our strength and feel revitalized. I’ve got you.
Our tarot card pull for this week invites you to explore your inner shadows, the parts of you that you have yet to fully understand, that hold mysteries worth exploring. Within these hidden chambers, dreams form and transformative truths quietly take shape, revealing themselves when the time is right. You hold a universe inside of you, and never ending expanse of magic. And this year, we will traverse this mystical landscape together.
Our journey through 2026 begins, guided by… The Moon. 🌙
Here begins your tarot reading for the week of Jan 5th-11th.

Representing wisdom, completion, and cycles
As 1 + 8 = 9, this numerology also emphasizes the magic of development, hard work, and balance.
One of the great teachings of The Moon is that clarity is not always the goal. We live in a culture that worships certainty, productivity, and linear progress. If something feels confusing, foggy, or unresolved, we’re taught to treat it as a problem to fix instead of a state to experience. But The Moon invites us into a different relationship with uncertainty.
Confusion can be a threshold space. A sacred in-between. A chrysalis we don’t yet know how to see inside of.
Sometimes the most profound transformation begins not with answers, but with a soft loosening of what we think we know about ourselves. Under The Moon, logic relaxes its grip so instincts, memories, dreams, sensations, and buried truths can begin to move. It calls you to tap into your subconscious, the universe that lives within you.
This is not the realm of performance or perfection. This is intuition-work. Soul-logic. The deep water of your being, where what is becoming has not yet formed words.
Instead of forcing resolution, The Moon asks:
What if you let mystery exist without rushing to control it?
The new year has begun and there are new commitments to make, yes. But instead of going all in on that resolution, let it be a gentle intention that the mysterious unknown seeks to support you in. Loosen your grip, and perhaps you dream can come true.
What if not-knowing wasn’t a failure, but a mystical shrouded doorway?
In this light, confusion becomes a creative force, one that cracks rigid structures, widens inner pathways, and makes room for new ways of seeing yourself and your life.
The Moon reminds us that wisdom isn’t always sharp and direct. Sometimes it arrives sideways, like a dream fragment, a symbolic nudge, a strange feeling that refuses to explain itself but keeps tugging at your attention.
That tug that you avoided and pushed away last year is worth listening to now.
When The Moon appears, something is shifting beneath the surface… something real, but not yet visible. It speaks to processes unfolding in their own timing, guided by instinct, memory, ancestry, grief, longing, imagination, and the parts of us that have survived by hiding.
Some changes can’t be chased or forced. They can only be trusted into becoming.
A question to explore:
In what way does your desire to control interrupt your ability to trust?
You may feel restless or disoriented this week. Your dreams may grow vivid. Old feelings may rise from the deep. You may sense that a decision, truth, or metamorphosis is forming — but still just out of reach.
This doesn’t mean you’re lost.
It means you’re in the tide.
The Moon asks you to hold yourself gently while invisible threads weave themselves into shape. It reminds you that your psyche, body, intuition, and spirit all carry intelligence far beyond what you consciously control.
Let the unseen do some of the work.
Let life collaborate with you.
Let instinct be a kind of priestess guiding you forward.
Beauty and greater awareness lay ahead.
This card invites you into a relationship with yourself that is rooted in slowness, honesty, and consent with your own inner life.
Repeat that back: Now begins the time where your exterior self chooses to live in consent with your own inner life.
Instead of pushing past your limits or powering through discomfort to appear “fine,” The Moon calls you back into alignment with your nervous system, your boundaries, your instinctive no and your embodied yes.
This first full week of the year is a time to step softly. To step wisely. To step with your whole self present.
When something in you whispers pause — listen.
When a feeling arrives without explanation — allow.
When a truth rises up that challenges an old narrative — stay with it compassionately.
Not every realization needs to be spoken aloud yet.
Not every emotion needs to be solved.
Not every longing needs to be acted upon.
Some things need to grow their form in shadow first.
Darkness first.
Gestation first.
Under The Moon, tending to yourself is not the avoidance you’ve inhabited in the past, it is devotion to your present wholeness.
Use these as anchors as you move through the days ahead:
Ask yourself…
What might be unfolding in my life that I cannot fully see yet?
Where am I being invited to loosen control and trust the process?
What feelings or instincts have I been avoiding that deserve my attention?
What hidden need may be living inside a desire I keep returning to?
Practice…
Restorative stillness
Gentle curiosity instead of judgment
Writing down dreams, symbols, or emotional patterns
Allowing mystery instead of interrogating it
Ritual suggestion: Moon Water
Leave a jar of water under the moonlight that is currently coming down from the Super moon just days ago. The moon, like you, is on a path of embracing it’s shadow.
Infuse it with intention, reflection, tenderness
Use it to bless objects, anoint yourself, or sit with as a reminder:
transformation is unfolding even when it cannot be seen
May you trust the version of yourself that cannot yet be named.
May you tend to your inner world with compassion and patience.
May you honor what is emerging, even as it remains unfinished.
You are not lost in darkness, you are revealing what was once hidden.
And in the quiet, the mystery is loving you into a fuller you for 2026.
And I am too. Lots of love in your week and year ahead.
