We came home from our holiday, picked up the cat from a lady called Diane and a day later the dog from the countryside. I cycled on nearly flat tyres to swim and after two weeks of bobbing about in salty water not doing much but paddling and drinking beer, the reservoir felt like swimming with all your clothes on and slowly drowning. It took about a week for my body to catch up with the long journey home. Met two of my friends at the lido and it made me remember why I love the Heath so much.

As I’m writing this newsletter I thought I’d have a look what pictures I could post and I came across this wip that I’d forgotten all about ….it’ll turn into an eye bleeding pattern one day…

We had fully expected for Eddie, our cat to saunter back to Diane’s house straight away. She seemed like his dream girl come true. Lots of fussing and no stupid dog that swans around and whines at his superiority.

Also found this sketchbook page of not great dog drawings

It could be old age, and the three fences he’d have to jump (and a bit of curb crawling) to get to Diane’s, that has put him off. Or maybe he doesn’t mind our house despite looking displeased, bored and/or fed up, as long as food appears on his plate three times a day. And that he gets to purr and hiss to his hears content. We are very happy ( and maybe just a bit relieved that we aren’t that shit at looking after him) because Eddie is staying put.

Here’s the LIDO on the Heath, and the pond…I most often swim elsewhere

I also came home from holiday to four new jobs. I started this newsletter to not go on about my work, and anyway, often I can’t talk about my work. But…maybe… would this newsletter be better if I talked about the work I’m doing and showing you the working process rather than blabbering on about our geriatric cat?

Today I’m practising
