Hideaway is available for preorder! This is a romantic sci-fi western. Originally, it was set in the mythical Old West but when I began to pull it from my head and create a novel, I felt it needed a science fiction setting. Many parts of the romance have lived in my imagination for decades but I got to know Mary, her life on the spaceport streets, and her reaction to rural life (including horses) as I wrote the story. It also pulls from the historical rabbit plague that ravaged Australia.

FictionFest wrapped up today, but until July 18 only you can view replays (including my panel and reading) on YouTube or check the event listing. On Monday, June 29, I read from Star-Crossed Alliance along with readings from three other multi-genre authors. On Friday, July 3, I joined a group of authors talking about the rise of “cozy” fiction. Searchable database of books and authors will also be up until July 18.
