NOTE: This is PART 2— if you have not already read PART 1, please start there by clicking here: PART 1 ENVIRONMENT

Results don’t come from obsessing over tiny details.
They come from creating the right environment.

Monica:
AGREED! When we stop obsessing over the tiny details and just create the right environment … communication and communion with Him truly happens… then the fruits of this divine connection are endless.

Joanne:
When the environment is right, you get flexibility.
When it’s wrong, perfect execution won’t save you.

Monica:
God’s love and His Son’s sacrifice allow us flexibility.
Let me explain. When we pray -whenever and wherever- we can trust He hears us, is moved by our faith and prayers AND He is faithful to answer us.
Granted the answers are not always on our timing, but if we wait on Him, His timing is always perfect.

Ps. 145: 8 The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.

He knew we could not live up to perfection in the Law (Old Testament) and had to offer His one and only Son, as a sacrifice for our sin.
REDEEMING us as His children so that we can have PEACE with God and be called His children.
Through Jesus Christ and the work HE FINISHED on the cross we have true flexibility.

Similar to Joanne’s message above, when the environment is wrong, we miss out on true peace, joy, love, goodness..

What produces the WRONG environment (for me)?

It’s the subtle decisions to listen or watch something that does not HONOR Him such as music/tv programs.
Programs that I find compromising my standards for life, relationships or even the use of His Name referring to any misuse of His name. These misuses include anything that dishonors, trivializes, or falsely represents Him, not JUST casual swearing.

There is a verse that alludes to the company we keep .. emphasized in
1 Corinthians 15:33.
Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.

Associating with negative or immoral influences can erode a person's morals, behavior, and spiritual integrity. Basically, the wrong (bad) company will negatively affect our environment.

We must be prudent in this area. Not rejecting others but ensuring we are an influence on them (bad company as the verse shares) not allowing them to influence us.
This can be challenging for a new believer, ask the Holy Spirit to guide you in all your relationships.
He is willing and able to do this. One of my tips for this area of life.. if you are in doubt of the person’s objectives and want to know, start asking them who Jesus is and what they believe about Him.
This will spark either a great conversation or chase some away.

Joanne:
Whatever you’re trying to change this year:

  • Stop obsessing over details

  • Stop chasing perfection

  • Start asking one better question:

“What environment do I need to create for this to work?”

As Joanne offers vetted advice to ‘create the right environment’ in the physical for ultimate change to our body composition, let’s compare how we can also do the same for our spiritual composition.

  1. Stop obsessing over details… if you feel confused with things such as the ‘Holy Trinity’ and ‘eschatology’, may I suggest you go back to the basics and just get to know Jesus and what He says.
Read the 4 Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
These epistles alone will provide you with ‘His-Story’ and while reading His Words, the words Jesus said, I promise you, He will dialogue with you.

    John 1: 14
…the “Word became flesh and dwelt among us”… this verse alludes to Jesus as ‘The Word’ and He (the Word) became flesh/alive—

Fast forward.. As we confess, “He rose from the dead and is alive to this day!”- we can determine both are true: He is alive and He is the Word

By reading the Word/Jesus essentially ‘feeds’ our spirit, much like eating bread can feed our body.
Jesus called Himself the ‘bread of life’ … and the bread of life is meant to ‘B-READ’. 😉
John 6:35 35 Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. ..

How incredible to comprehend… feeding our soul (where our mind, will and emotions reside), with the bread of life, strengthens our spirit, bringing life to it!

Truth be told, if I, daily, fill myself with His Word my physical needs seem less important, less vocal and less ‘noisy’-
Allowing my body more vitality, naturally.

  1. Stop chasing perfection.
Friends.. the definition of PERFECT is being entirely without fault or defect: flawless.
We all know this is impossible.
However, He also knows it AND still loves and ACCEPTS us as we are!

  2. Start asking one better question:
“What environment do I need to create for this to work?”

Next Steps:
(2) simple actions to take that will guarantee you create the right environment, spiritually.

John 6:35 reveals these 2 simple things, “Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”.

  1. GO and feed on His Word- Jesus= never to go hungry

  2. BELIEVE in Him= never to be thirsty

Friends, we have a God who loved us so much that He gave us His only Son, to be a ransom for us, to take our place on the cross- covering & offering forgiveness of our sins -with His precious spilled blood..
Bringing the NEW COVENANT that provides us with eternal salvation and peace with God even while here on earth
He died and rose again and is alive now yearning to be in a close relationship with you.
It can start right here by believing in Him..

And if your spirit is in harmony with Him, your body and soul will follow …

To close out this idea of ‘creating the right environment’…
Here is my prayer for you.. and me!!

1 Thessalonians 5:23-24
23 May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through.
May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
24 The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.

1 Tim.4: 8
8 For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. 9 This is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance.

Live Radiantly… today!
