Hey all,
Taking action spreads hope. The other day, one of the moms in our group was walking with her eight-year-old when her child turned to her and said, “thank you for giving me hope.” May we all hear that some day from someone in our lives!
This week’s action is to do one more thing to help get out the vote or support election integrity for the upcoming midterms. We’ve got some new ideas for you:
Sign up to send New Voter Guides to voters in PA.
Sign up for a ballot cure program in WI (to help voters correct errors with their ballots).
Check your voter registration to make sure that you’re registered, and then remind 5 family members or friends to do the same. If they’ve got questions, share 866-OUR-VOTE to get some answers.
Or choose one of the other ideas we’ve shared here and here.
Why this action? We know, we know, we’re starting to sound like a broken record, but getting out the vote and supporting election integrity is IMPORTANT! We won’t repeat everything we’ve said before, but the upcoming midterm elections are a really great opportunity to make our voices heard. Participating in democracy is both a privilege and a responsibility, and we want to make sure that eligible Americans across the country are prepared and able to participate. As we’ve said before: we are our democracy. Let’s go!
Look at you, taking action! Look at us, doing it together.
In solidarity and with love,
Moms for Democracy
PS — we’re skipping next week’s newsletter for a short summer break. We’ll be back (and hopefully more rested!) after that. Consider this a suggestion to give yourself a break, too ;) But if you’re looking for actions to take next week, don’t forget about 5calls! Or pick an action that resonates from a previous newsletter!
