My plan was to write a story about the banks. Then Wikimedia NYC invited me to help them at their conference table at Hackers On Planet Earth.

I am so glad I said, “Yes.”

My plan is always to work at a conference. Sometimes the conference is too engaging to work on an investigative story on the banks. HOPE was certainly that conference. I have helped with conference tabling in the past. Normally, there’s some downtime to catch up on work.

Normally.

There’s nothing normal about this conference. That’s how I knew that these were my people.

I wish I could tell you more. This conference is giving me great ideas for my next story on the banks.
