I just released a brand-new watercolor video on YouTube that walks you through some of my favorite techniques—and a few fun little tricks I love using in my own paintings.

In this quick tutorial, I show you how I painted a dramatic osprey using a splash effect that might look a little wild… but it’s actually pretty easy to control (once you know how!).

You’ll also see how I used masking fluid to preserve highlights, white gouache for the full splash, and a template to keep the wing details clean and crisp.

Honestly, it was so fun to film. A bit messy (you’ll see I got paint on my camera lens) but in the best way. 😊
