Molecule Labs launched at DeSci Berlin 2025, and it’s already changing how projects build, update, and share their work.

Built for BioDAOs and research teams, Molecule Labs gives projects a dedicated layer to publish milestones, manage files, and keep their communities informed. Think structured timelines, decentralized storage, and real-time updates; all connected to the token pages on Molecule.xyz.

Research teams can:

  • Upload results, data, decks, and media

  • Log visible milestones linked to their IP tokens

  • Streamline project communication across channels

  • Build a public record of progress, verifiable by anyone

Every update syncs directly to token pages on molecule.xyz. Projects like CLAW, VITARNA, HEMPY, PSYMARK, and BEEARD have already started to share progress through Molecule Labs. Updates are showing up directly on their token pages; clear, timestamped, and verifiable.

On June 10-11, DeSci Berlin 2025 took place at Molecule HQ, bringing together 350 people in person and over 53,000 online. Two days of ecosystem gathering to focus on real science, real tools, and the infrastructure to scale both.

This year’s program focused on four themes shaping decentralized science today:

  • The TradSci BottleneckWhat’s slowing biotech down, and how DeSci is building around it

  • DeSci Use CasesBioDAOs, tokenized IP, decentralized trials; real projects, real progress

  • AI x DeSciFrom bio-agents to AI-native labs: faster, smarter research workflows

  • Cross-Chain & Citizen ScienceInteroperability, privacy, public goods; building for coordination and scale

Paul Kohlhaas opened the main stage with a clear message: science needs a system upgrade. He called for shared primitives, fewer silos, and better alignment between builders, researchers, and funders; the theme echoed throughout the event.

Panels on decentralized trials and funding made it clear that DeSci is already reshaping how research is done. Studies are launching in months instead of years, often with budgets under $100K. Scientific credibility still matters, but what moves capital now is speed, transparency, and new ownership models.

Workshops at Westberlin Café took things hands-on; from registering Proof of Invention and tokenized trial design to deploying AI agents and building stronger project narratives.

Molecule has been included in the 2025 Europe HealthTech Market Map by AlbionVC and HLTH Europe, under the Research Tools category, among tools for digitising bench science.

The map highlights key players building the next layer of healthcare infrastructure, from diagnostics and AI to biotech tools. Molecule’s inclusion signals growing recognition of decentralized science as a core part of the research and development stack.

Because in DeSci, you don’t need permission to do science, you do it.
