The Minister of Finance and the Public Service is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. R. Brian Langrin as Governor of the Bank of Jamaica, effective Wednesday, August 19, 2026. Dr. Langrin will succeed Mr. Richard Byles, whose term concludes on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. The appointment is made by the Governor-General in Council.

GOJ SIGNS J$1.7 BILLION FINANCING AGREEMENT WITH THE EU FOR THE DIGITAL JAMAICA PROGRAMME

The Ministry of Finance and the Public Service (MOFPS) has signed a J$1.7 billion financial agreement with the European Union (EU) for the Digital Transitioning Programme aimed at supporting Jamaica’s Information Communication Technology (ICT) Policy. RESUMPTION OF PERFORMANCE INCREMENTS FOR PUBLIC SECTOR EMPLOYEES
