Mohammed Khaku · Speak Up! Silent No more!

As Safar’s dusk fades, Karbala’s courage still shines. The black flags come down, yet their message remains tall and unshaken.

O Hussain, your sacrifice keeps pushing every step forward, while the dawn of Rabi’ al-Awwal calls us toward hope, light, and action.

We move from grief to purpose, with the Prophet’s family, Ahlul Bayt, as our guiding light & beacon— inspiring us through Muharram’s tears and uplifting us in the glow of Milad un-Nabi.

As the months of Muharram and Safar come to a close, with black attire filling Islamic centers around the world, the sighting of the Rabi al-Awwal crescent brings a burst of joy.

Soon, these centers will be lit up with vibrant decorations, much like the festive spirit of Christmas, celebrating two special occasions – Eid-e-Zahra and Milad-un-Nabi.

Rabi’ al-Awwal, the third month of the Islamic calendar and known as “the first spring,” carries deep historical and spiritual meaning for Muslims, especially Shia.

Rabi’ al-Awwal marks the birth of the Prophet Muhammad, with celebrations known as Milad-un-Nabi taking place from the 12th to the 17th of the month. During this time, many Muslim countries observe three days as public holidays.

Bidding farewell to Muharram and Safar, the hopeful arrival of Milad un-Nabi is beautifully inspired by the emotional depth of Mir Anis’s poetry, without using any copyrighted verses.

🌙 Farewell & Welcome — In the Spirit of Mir Anis
As the moon of Safar fades, its silver light softened by sorrow, the memory of Karbala still stirs in our hearts.
We put away the black banners with careful hands, each thread heavy with grief, each knot tied in remembrance.
O Hussain, your name drifts through the air like a prayer, your sacrifice a lantern that never dims.
The dust of Karbala clings to our souls, even as the winds of Rabi’ al-Awwal begin to rise. A new dawn draws near — the blessed birth of the Mercy to all worlds.
From the shadows of sadness, joy begins to grow, and the streets prepare for light instead of lament.
We move from mourning, but not from memory, for the love of the Prophet and his family is one flame — glowing through Muharram’s tears and shining in Milad’s celebration.

From Mourning to Light — In the Spirit of Mir Anis On Safar’s last night, the sky rests under gentle shadows, its breeze still carrying the whispers of Karbala’s grief.

Black flags, heavy with devotion, are lowered with care, as though not to disturb the sorrow they hold.

O Hussain, your stand remains carved into the horizon of our souls, a beacon guiding us through life’s darkest storms.

The soil of Karbala, blessed by sacrifice, clings to our hearts like an endless prayer. Yet a new light rises on the horizon — the blessed birth of the Prophet, a mercy for all creation.

From the stillness of mourning, joy begins to awaken, and the air fills with the scent of hope.

We move from days of lament to moments of celebration, yet never from love, for our bond with the Prophet’s family is eternal — shining in the tears of Muharram and glowing in the lights of Milad un-Nabi.
