And we’re giving our Substack community (that would be YOU) early access. We’ve done everything we can to keep things affordable - there are a limited number of $30 tickets for each city.

Mushroom Church is a one-of-a-kind experience bringing together local scientists, poets, artists and musicians - and a live plant and mushroom music experience - to celebrate the wonders of the more-than-human worlds. Over the last several years a small crew of us has turned this weird and wild idea into a reality. It’s kind of hard to describe. But if you like mushrooms - or if you’re into nature - and are looking for new ways to connect with the human and more-than-human - this might be your cup of tea. It’s part scientific talk, part live music experience, part immersive installation, part thought experiment… and all about connecting with our local ecology.

I’ve fallen in love with this community art project over the last several years of hosting these events all over North America and Europe. In every city we work with the local community - sound people, lights, projection mappers, musicians, poets, scientists, florists, volunteers, and mushroom growers.

This is a truly DIY event. There is no Live Nation. This is literally Jess and I phoning up churches, renting equipment, driving around North America in a little van, and having friends join us as we travel. We do everything we can to keep things affordable - for us and for you - and to tread with a light environmental footprint. I’d call it a labour of love - but it doesn’t feel like ‘labour’. It feels like an expression of love for this planet.

I like to think we use mycelium power - using the ideas or connectivity, decentralization, curiosity and collaboration to build an entirely new show every night, that’s truly a reflective of the local funga, flora and fauna (humans included)

It’s so heartwarming to see people come together for the love of fungi. Come join us this mushroom season! In this era of heightened… everything… i truly feel that this act of getting together with music and a common cause - this is what resistance looks like. this is what humanity looks like. and this is how we learn, together, from the more-than-human world.
