Sam and I want to offer our warmest congratulations to the entire team at Vesputi, for their successful sale of their public transit ticketing startup to Tracsis, a publicly traded British transport conglomerate.
We first invested in Vesputi back in 2021 as part of their seed round, out of our MobilityFund I vehicle. The team gained significant traction with the launch of the Deutschland Ticket, onboarding leading customers such as ADAC, Deutschland Card, A&O Hostels, ioki, and NAVIT through their standardized “Mobilitybox” API. Quite an impressive track record for a lean team of just about six.
Per the terms of the acquisition, Tracsis will pay up to €8.2M ($9.5M,) subject to performance milestones through the end of next year.
Three cheers for Vesputi, and here’s to mobility innovation across the continent.
