My fingers curl around the edge of the collar to jerk Jude to his feet in a single, swift movement.
He chokes, coughing, as the metal digs into his throat, and nearly falls over when his legs refuse to support him. But I grab him tightly around the waist, holding on to steady him.
Jude lands firmly in my embrace, chest to chest, hardness against hardness.
Fuck me, that bewildered look in his eyes. Those dilated pupils.
So innocent.
But I know he’s far from innocent…
“Hey,” Jude whispers, his heart hammering against my body as he regards me expectantly.
“Hey, yourself.” I playfully circle the ring on his collar with my forefinger, watching his reaction closely. “So, you’re a kept man now?”
Jude nods, smiling. “I’ve been for a while.”
“But now everyone can see it?”
“Now everyone can see it,” he confirms. There is not a hint of shame in his voice. Only pride.
