May 2026 be less of a train wreck and more of a calm stroll by the beach (a gurl can dream).
Whatever this rollercoaster of a year brings, I wish you only amazing reads and great bookish escapes.

It’s been a little over a month since Broken Blood Bonds was released, and I’ve been completely blown away by the amazing positive response from readers. Thank y’all!
I’ve made no secret about how nervous I was about changing genres and writing a vampire romance book.
The fact that I had so many drafts and spent so long editing is enough proof that this book darn-near drove me to the edge of disregulation.
But seeing so many people relate to the characters and fall for my imperfectly-perfect throuple has made all the sleepless nights worth it.
Every review, every social media post, every message—I see them all, and I truly appreciate the love.
Thank you from the bottom of my wicked little heart for your support.

December in the Southern Hemisphere is pretty much like July/ August in the North. For us, it’s summer break, and the one time a year Johannesburg city empties out enough to enjoy quiet streets and short cues. It’s great!
My social calendar was beyond packed for December, and I forced myself to slow down and give my brain a break from writing. Quality time with the chosen family was my number one priority.
Besides the various Christmas celebrations and my birthday, plus New Years too, our year-end also included a wedding. I cried my eyes out as two of my besties said “I do.”
This season was a time for reconnecting with myself and loved ones, for many board games, and for belated Spring cleaning. We even started a new jigsaw puzzle that is definitely going to take a long time to finish. It was everything I wanted from my holiday.
Still, not writing every day is difficult for me.
That constant feeling of “I should be…” in the back of your head.
But the break was much needed, and now my brain feels fresh.
I did spend the month planning and plotting the sequel to Broken Blood Bonds.
But you’ll have to wait until next month to find out more about that.
Just know that it’s in the works.
For now, wishing you a magical 2026.
If the magic doesn’t exist in the real world, may you find it in books.
