Hollywood Is Over (1925~2025)

I don’t have much time to write because my Mrs. has her 5th round of chemotherapy for her breast, bone, and lung cancer, so I’m on duty. It is what we husbands do for our wife’s. How should I know? Just celebrated my 40th Wedding Anniversary.

Fell in love with Laurie at first sight on August 11, 1984.

Started dating in January of 1985.

We dated for 6 months.

Then, I asked her to marry me.

She said “Yes,” and we had a 12 month engagement.

Of course my Dad (RIP) met my Mrs. 5 years before I did.

Why would I post this kind of audio with a nicely worded love letter to my Mrs. on Substack?

The answer is that at 69 years of age, Married 40 years, this is not the world I thought I would be living in.
