The world tells us we need to seek something outside of ourselves to find peace, but Pentecost teaches us that the "win" we're looking for -the kin-dom of God we're seeking - is already within us.

Most of us have been taught that if you're not down with Jesus, you can't ever reach God. But what did the author of John's Gospel really mean when he said that Jesus was "the way, the truth, and the life?"
What Will It Take?
We are slow learners. The Good News is that our God is an "over and over again" kind of God who will keep showing up and keep teaching us even when we mess up. But can we do God a solid and meet God halfway?

We Can Be Miracle-Makers, Too
We've likely been taught a highly ableist interpretation of the story commonly called "Jesus Heals the Man Born Blind." But what if there's another way to understand this story that is rooted in empowerment and justice? And what if Jesus isn't the only one capable of miracles?
Show Them Who You Are
Jesus claimed his identity at the time of his baptism. Then, in the wilderness, he had an opportunity to show what it meant to live his identity out loud. Instead of performing miracles or making a big show of his powers, Jesus shows us a different way modeled through careful discernment. God, help us to do likewise.
Rest. Get up. Be the Light.
When the world makes us feel less-than, Jesus tells us, "you are the light." So let's act like it, eh?
Come and You Will See
God offers us some wild invitations often with no clear steps and no guaranteed outcome. It is our job to discern which invitations are "holy invitations" and how to take faithful risks when the time comes.
