Honestly, I had never heard the term ‘Lion’s Gate Portal’ until last week even though I’ve dabbled in astrology most of my life. According to the Farmer’s Almanac:

Leo season runs from July 23 to August 22 each year. On August 8 (8/8), the Sun, Sirius, Orion, and Earth are said to line up. The Lion’s Gate Portal refers to the days on either side of that date, roughly July 28 to August 12, when the power of Sirius is believed to be activated by the Sun. Why is the Significance of the Lions Gate Portal?

While it is a portal, traditionally, the Lion’s Gate marks a time when the helical rising of Sirius, which is the brightest fixed star in the heavens, aligns with the Sun in it’s home sign of Leo. To ancient astrologers and astronomers, specifically the Egyptians, the rising of Sirius was a special marker to them of abundance and renewal, as it directly related to the flooding of the Nile, and when crops were at their prime. Combining that tangible abundance with the Sun in Leo, this fortune creates a window associated with purpose, clarity, and success, which can be felt to this day.

What can we expect during this time?
