Greetings from behind a box of Kleenex! I’m fighting a cold but it’s a good excuse to be sick and scroll. This week’s list is paywalled, but as always we have 3 great creator recs for free.
A piece of content I loved whilst scrolling my corner of the internet was this sibling duo’s ‘weirdieval’ band, Small Fools, putting out a medieval choral piece called ‘Crying In My Subaru’. Subaru? You better get on this, your community was delighted with the song with comments like “Sobbed in my Subaru yesterday 😍”. If you’re interested, it’s on Spotify.
As I’ve been learning and growing each week writing this Substack, which has been a really fun project outside of my work, I’ve shifted how I offer this list in an effort to get it in front of more people. As of now, every other newsletter will be free, and the rest will be for paid subscribers. Twenty creators each month for free subs, 40 creators each month for paid subs. @skowrld | Fashion/Video Creator | You may or may not have noticed I love mixed media in video. This creator takes simple concepts like GRWMs and turns it into an editorial masterpiece that keeps you hooked until the end. I think he could make a really engaging sponsored video for a fashion brand that could function organically but could be a paid social ad as well.
@ChelseaExplainsAll | Series | New series dropped! This one is niche, leaning towards the parent/family community and I’m not sure what the angle is here for a brand but finding her so early and seeing her add multiple videos each day adding to the series, I know she’s going to get some brand attention soon, and that could be you! A prolific storyteller, a true natural in front of the camera, waxing poetic about how she manipulates kids to do hard things like eating veggies and taking baths from her time as a babysitter. The comments are begging for more and she is delivering.
@fomenkojulli | Fashion | Yulia is a super creative stylist, making incredible pop culture inspired looks with unique editing and all around iconic vibes. Most recently, she’s been doing a clown core series that’s getting attention on TikTok ahead of Halloween, but her Instagram is definitely her main channel with millions of views amassing on most of her videos. She mixes vintage with pre-owned designer pieces, which may turn off some brands, but don’t be afraid to give her a pair of shoes or an accessory and have her create a look around the product.
