After the long and painful journey I’ve had to make to get back to the page as an indie author and start appearing at signings again, it’s hard to describe what it felt like to unbox a whole new range of my gorgeous book babies after picking them up from the printers.
When I got to see, touch, and—yes—smell these books for the first time, it brought tears to my eyes as my books literally began sparkling in the sun.
Pure. Magic.
Knowing I can’t pick up the phone to tell Mum all about that experience was hard… and yet, it feels like she’s sharing my joy with me all the same, so I know I’m going to carry the memory of this milestone and hold it close for many years to come.
I am so incredibly grateful to the team at Kaligraphics—a local printing business here in Sydney—for their patience, professional advice, and the gorgeous craftsmanship and care they brought to printing my books. Together, we’ve really brought the ‘wow’ factor to this range of special editions, and I can’t wait to share them with you all at my next signing.
If you are joining me at either LOVE ON THE BEACH next month in the Gold Coast or ONCE UPON A FAIRYTALE later this year in Sydney, I hope you stop by to soak up some book love because I’m pretty sure I’m glowing inside and out.
