No 47 Rising in Science

Here’s a nice calcite specimen for attention. There are multiple generations of calcite, with colourless calcite overgrown by brown calcite. The latter has a very thin layer of colourless calcite, which is then coated by a white layer of unknown composition. Then there are a few dendrites of manganese oxide.
