This is not an all or nothing moment.
It never is, but so often things feel this urgent. Binary systems that divide us tell this kind of story. But the deeper stories that are real and true remind us that we are always in progress, beginning and ending and everything in between, because together WE contain infinite multitudes. Zooming way out from just ourselves absolutely helps hold the magnitude of these moments.
With today’s full moon and our final ascent towards the Lunar New Year, you might be feeling uneasy as the last of our old skins want to be shaken loose. If you are in it like I am, know you are not alone. We are in the initiation of stepping into greater solidarity with ourselves and each other. All of the groundwork of our Yin Wood Snake year is in its final throes. The harmful barriers are meant to go and such tender vulnerability is real, instructive snake medicine. Give and take care, friends. Feel, make, dream, rest, connect, move, to find your way through. This is how we will transform together.
Yang Fire Horse: a helpful primer
This year is not a race. Stay as slow and low for as long as you can as you ease into what’s ahead. Horses have to graze before they gallop.
If there is one thing I want us to focus on going into this energetic horse year, is how we want to be oriented inside of our relationship with Horse to cultivate connection and partnership, not domination over for production or extraction. Our historical relationship with horses provides a lot of insight. How we frame this relationship, personally, this year, will make all the difference. It will be a beautiful way for us to practice!
As someone who has always felt connected with horses and ridden throughout the years, I have deeper wisdom and medicine to share with you all year long to help support our collective ride.
