There is a particular kind of exhaustion that doesn’t look like exhaustion.
You still get things done. You answer messages. You show up. You handle responsibilities.
When someone asks how you’re doing, the answer comes automatically: “I’m fine.”
And perhaps you are.
But sometimes that answer becomes so automatic that you stop asking yourself what is actually happening underneath it.
Maybe you’re not falling apart. Maybe you’re simply carrying too much for too long.
The surprising part is that the people who appear the most capable can sometimes become the least likely to notice when their own reserves are running low.
