I know that you can feel me Burrowing deep into your skin I've been here since the apple tree and though you're blind to my grin You hear my voice as you flee The wolves inside the sheepskin. For eons I have watched you fall Kicked to bleeding by his shoe A front row seat to the brawl Where the only loser is you I beg you, stand up and recall Who you were before his hatred grew. Stand up tall, despite the pain After cowering so long, you'll surely ache Break the chains he used to restrain Look in his eyes, make him shake Scream defiantly in the rain Stand tall, even if your bones break. Retrieve the memory of my name How it feels upon your tongue Watch it's power begin to reframe All the traps that he's sprung Stand up tall and take your aim And pierce him in his lung. Say my name, let it take control Leave behind your chains No longer will you be a lost soul Or a horse held by the reins No more hiding in your hole Instead, you'll pump regret into his veins.
