The Awakening Isn’t What You Think

There’s an awakening happening right now.

It’s not what most people think it is.

Over the last several years, I’ve begun to recognize a pattern. I see it in messages from men and women working inside institutions. I see it in conversations with people who are finding God for the first time. I see it in people searching for light, truth, and something real in a world that feels increasingly manufactured.

Something is changing deep inside our lives.

When I first started my company, I was operating in a landscape filled with uncertainty. My background in Special Operations taught me that confidence doesn’t come from optimism. It comes from understanding the environment. Before making a decision, you assess the enemy situation, the friendly situation, the terrain, and the available information. Then you build a plan based on that information.

As I began applying that mindset outside the military, I discovered something familiar.

There was a veil over the eyes of many people. Beneath the surface was corruption, manipulation, deception, and self-interest. At first, that realization seemed discouraging.

Then I remembered something much older than politics or institutions.

Scripture had already explained it.

This is the human condition.

We are all sinners.

For me, recognizing that changed everything. Expecting a fallen world to behave as though it were perfect is foolish. Corruption should not surprise us. Pride should not surprise us. Greed should not surprise us. These are not new problems. They are as old as humanity itself.

As people became consumed by the latest political scandal, corporate deception, or cultural outrage, my faith kept reminding me that none of this was unexpected. It was simply another expression of humanity’s broken nature.

When I began calling out corruption, however, I learned another lesson.

The same forces of pride, manipulation, and selfishness that existed “out there” eventually found their way into my own life. Power shifted. Influence disappeared. False narratives were created. My own family was nearly destroyed by the very same seeds of sin and corruption I had been warning others about.

But God carried me through it.

I came out the other side stronger, more resilient, and with a faith that no longer depended on circumstances.

That’s why I believe this awakening isn’t leading us toward civil war or endless political conflict.

It’s leading us back to God.

People are beginning to recognize that every earthly institution eventually fails. Politicians disappoint us. Companies betray us. Public figures fall. Even the people we admire most will eventually let us down.

Only God remains constant.

Giving our lives back to Him has always been and will always be the best standard operating procedure.

Yesterday I heard an analogy on Joe Rogan’s podcast that captured this idea well.

The guest described degeneration through replication. Every time you copy something, a little quality is lost. Eventually, what remains is only a faint resemblance of the original.

Humanity is much the same.

We began with Adam and Eve, created to walk with God in perfect communion. Sin shattered that relationship. Since then, generation after generation has inherited not only life, but also brokenness. We continue to replicate ourselves, carrying forward both the image of God and the consequences of the Fall.

The farther we drift from the source, the more distorted the image becomes.

The answer is not creating something new.

The answer is returning to the original.

Returning to the One who made us.

Returning to the foundation our lives were meant to stand on.

That’s the awakening I’m witnessing.

Not people becoming more political.

Not people becoming more radical.

Not people becoming more consumed with fear.

People are becoming hungry for truth.

They’re rediscovering God.

They’re choosing to raise faithful families instead of chasing influence. They’re building stronger communities instead of larger platforms. They’re seeking wisdom instead of applause. They’re learning that ordinary faithfulness changes the world far more than extraordinary ambition.

Real revival doesn’t begin in Washington.

It begins in our homes.

It begins around dinner tables, in churches, in neighborhoods, and in quiet moments when people decide to surrender their lives to God.

That’s where nations are rebuilt.

That’s where families are restored.

That’s where hope begins.

This is the awakening I believe we’re living through.

And I pray it continues-it’s time to get back to basics.
