I’m making more and working less.

Personal updates

• All my writing is currently being done using a pencil I found on the sidewalk and a disposable notepad I lifted from work. (I want to see how long the pencil lasts)
• I’ve almost stopped using public transit entirely. Everything is being done on the bike, 150km+ a week. My legs are in tatters.
• I spent a week camping, I now know the very specific, very sphincter tightening fear of waking up at 3am and hearing a bear snuffing around on the other side of a nylon tent wall, but I’m alive and uneaten and not even that sunburnt really.
• Feeling a little bored and restless, which is stupid as this is objectively the best my life has ever been.

Technical updates

• My Pixel 4a 5g is somewhere in the pacific ocean
• The Pixel 9 I bought to replace it spontaneously commited suicide
• The replacement for the replacement is doing OK so far
• I’m now running Debian 13 on Everything
