Hi,
In May, Nati and I are running the Collaborative Leadership Training at Casa Tilo, our retreat centre in the hills near Barcelona. I’m writing to the Microsolidarity community because I think a lot of you are the exact right fit for this, and because we have a couple of scholarship spots reserved specifically for people in this community.
What it’s about
You’ve taken on more responsibility in your community or team. You’re trying to lead in a way that distributes power, includes people, and builds genuine trust. And you’ve probably already discovered that knowing how to do this and actually doing it under pressure are two very different things.
This training works on that gap. Not by teaching you a framework to memorise, but by giving you five days of real practice, with real stakes, inside a small cohort of peers who are navigating the same terrain. You’ll rotate roles. You’ll receive and give feedback. You’ll work through your actual leadership challenges in group coaching circles. The group itself is the learning environment.
Some of what we cover: collaboration rhythms, collective decision-making, psychological safety in practice, navigating conflict and polarisation, and the nervous system realities of leading in a shared-power context.
The setting
Casa Tilo is our own venue: a restored 19th-century villa on the Maresme coast, 45 minutes from Barcelona. Five days together, meals included, hiking trails outside the door. The place is part of what makes it work.
Who’s leading it
Nati Lombardo, Rich Bartlett, and Corinna Zuckerman. Between us we have decades of experience facilitating collaborative leadership in organisations, movements, and communities across Europe and beyond.
Practical details
May 18–23, 2026. Arrivals Monday evening, departure Saturday after breakfast.
Sliding scale: €1,800 to €2,600, all-inclusive. Come with a teammate and get 15% off.
Scholarships for Microsolidarity folks
We have reserved two scholarship places for people from this community who want to come but need a reduced rate to make it possible. If that’s you, email rich at thehum.org before you decide the price is a barrier.
