I’ve been lying to you.
I’m still in the in-between too. Still figuring things out as I go.
Still having those random moments where my stomach drops and I start questioning everything.
Did I make the right decision?
Did I choose the wrong path?
Did I ruin my own life trying to fix it?
It doesn’t feel as heavy as it did in the beginning, but sometimes I’m afraid every choice I make is a huge mistake.
And the truth is, I don’t know.
I may never know.
I think that’s what frustrates me the most.
I keep waiting for this magical moment where everything will finally make sense.
Where I finally feel sure. Or ready.
Where life stops feeling like one long unfinished sentence.
But what I understand now is this:
Life is the in-between.
Just like the moon changes phases, so do our lives.
The shape changes, the seasons shift.
The struggles adjust.
But the doubts, the what-ifs, the uncertainty, they still remain.
Because we are constantly evolving, always being shaped by our experiences. Always becoming someone new.
Always somewhere between who we were and who we are meant to be.
What I learned the hard way though is that this confusing season is not what’s keeping you in bed all morning wondering what you were made for. It’s not what has you crying your eyeballs out at 2 a.m. feeling like life is passing you by.
Treating it like a waiting room where you just sit around waiting for clarity, for motivation, for the “right time.”
Waiting for some miracle version of yourself to show up and save you.
That’s what’s killing you.
Because while you keep saying you don’t know what to do next, there are a hundred things you could be doing right now.
What happened to being more creative this year?
What about that solo spa day you promised yourself three months ago?
What about “going out more and meeting new people”?
Have you done that yet?
Exactly.
(Not me calling myself out btw =| )
The in-between is not a waiting room.
It’s a cocoon.
It may look like you’re standing still.
It probably feels like you’re stuck in your own life.
And yes, it is uncomfortable.
But you are not wasting time.
You are transforming.
And that’s exactly what this season is supposed to feel like.
Messy.
Quiet.
Uncertain.
Ugly before it becomes beautiful.
Now who you are becoming inside of it, whether you become a common spurwing — butterflies who came out surviving— or a Blue morpho — butterflies who came out their best.
That part is up to you.
I’m not here to make this season feel more bearable.
I’m here to hold your hand while you consciously choose to make the best of it.
Because the in-between may feel ugly and confusing, but you do not have to be.
So ask yourself this: “how do I see myself in five years?”
Not what job you’ll have.
Not what city you’ll live in.
Who will you be?
Chances are, the version of you in your head looks much better than how you are right now.
Well, that’s not delusion, that’s hope.
Now write it down.
Then start doing one small thing every single day that brings you closer to that person.
If you see a healthier version of you, ditch the afternoon Coke and take the five-minute walk.
If you see a prettier version of you, drink your water and stop treating sleep like it’s optional.
If you see a richer version of you, close the shopping tabs and finally open that brokerage account.
Stop waiting for giant life changes.
Your future is being built in tiny daily decisions nobody claps for.
That’s where transformation lives.
In structure. In discipline. In ordinary Tuesdays.
I know life can feel like it’s happening to you. Like you’re sitting there watching everyone else move while you’re somehow frozen. Powerless.
But you know what cannot do? Let it defeat you.
Taking care of yourself is not superficial.
Doing the small things is not insignificant.
It is how you take back the power you thought was long gone.
And I know it doesn’t feel like it, but you still have power.
You just have to seize it
One tiny action at a time.
