Kissing my skin, the flowers and the trees, your countless rays tickle my joie-de-vivre once again. Today our Belgian sky rolled out a crispy blue carpet just for you!
After elaborately debating (oh, always the doubts!) whether or not I should witness the veiling of your majestic Light, I found myself waking up this morning firmly committed to boldly ignoring our ancestors’ warnings.
On top of that, as an enthusiastic student of your heavenly writing, I’m so very ashamed to say that I did not manage to get my hands on a pair of eclipse glasses. I tried all the stores… to no avail. Everything was already long gone yesterday.
Nevertheless, I’ll be joining you tonight, at my usual spot behind the train rails. I’ll sit there and pay attention to the cats that roam our neighborhood. I’ll listen to the unusual silence of the many birds whose swarming accompanies you to the Otherworld each night.
And I’ll be there tomorrow morning to greet you and thank you for the life you give and give and give.
