Welcome back to our seventh(!) Designing the Month session of 2026.
If this is your first time here, welcome! This series was designed to give you a place to rest, to let your imagination run free, and to create a vision for the month ahead. I’ll share mine below and hope it gives you some inspiration for your July!
But first, a little recap, because June was a wild ride. 🎢
We started the month just trying to keep our spirits up, still recovering from the loss of our cat Rory, who passed away in May. Mid-month, we headed to Las Vegas, where my husband and I celebrated our birthdays. We returned home for a few days, and had a pipe burst in our garage, which turned into a little flooding adventure. My husband got asked if he’d be willing to head out to CA for a work trip, and even though we’d barely unpacked and were literally up to our ankles in water, I never say no to an LA visit.
The last ten days of the month were so much fun, that I kept thinking, “Is this even allowed?” It was exactly the fizzy energy I needed to remind me that life doesn’t need to be so serious, especially in the summer. I think you’ll find that my June vision board spilled into July’s. 😎
