Hi!

I’ve drummed up quite a few obsessions over the past few weeks and I’ve got to share! Read on for my fave lunches to make at home, the docuseries I’m bingeing, some really good jeans and my endorphin booster of late. Plus a recipe for an easy, breezy summer dinner party. Spoiler: There’s pasta involved! Let’s jump right in…

lunch is my love language
  1. Making lunch… Ok so I know this is not a novel concept, but lunch is one of my favorite things and I’m trying once again to not panic order postmates every time I get hungry. I usually throw together some kind of salad/bowl with arugula, cucumber, feta or halloumi, avocado, dill, cilantro etc. My secret pantry weapons are Sunny’s dressings (you can get them at Whole Foods) Fishwife (Spanish Lemon tuna is my fave) and Heyday beans. Also having a little stash of quinoa in the fridge helps things come together. No sad desk lunches! My top and jeans above.

  2. I forgot to mention my favorite purchase of our trip, which is the candle from Ganeaux in Amagansett… I love the handwritten label. It smells of 1970s Coppertone and is just perfect. They don’t have a website, so you have to go IRL!

  3. The new Celisse shades are so fun! They inspired me to switch things up from my usual nude and I went for Bunny (a shimmery baby pink) on my fingers and their red on my toes. Pink + Red forever! The combo is sparking joy.

  4. The Invite! Omg what a movie! I went in without seeing a preview and recommend you do the same. Olivia Wilde did an incredible job with this movie and I gotta give her major props! Only thing I’d say is maybe don’t go with your parents? Lol

  5. This easy summer beauty look is making me feel freshfaced and sunkissed! Plus it takes 5 mins max. Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer in Citrine (a classic for a reason!), Nars liquid blush in Behave (I’m OBSESSED with these), Counter cream shadow in Aura and their Sheer Genius lipstick in Terra.

    Let’s goooooo
  6. Going to the gym! Ok I know this isn’t anything new but damn exercise really does a body good. And mind! I’ve gotten into the habit of going to pilates a few days a week and really love having someone tell me what to do. And the absolute focus it requires. Once I got the ball rolling, I got in the habit of going a lot! Shout out to endorphins.

old celine sunglasses, necklace, old Madewell tank, Matteau belt, really good jeans, flip flops
  7. Flares! Omg wow this feels like a bit of a throwback but I’m into it! Such a flattering leg shape. I chose to go all black with a flip flop and shades for a lil rock n roll vibe. Goth summer! When in doubt, black on black on black baby! Are you team flare?

  8. The Rafa documentary on Netflix is so fascinating! Obviously, Rafa has achieved so much in his life and we get a peek at what it took to get there. From the outside, his life looks so amazing, but there’s a lot of suffering behind it. I have one episode left and can’t wait to watch.

  9. Hate That I Made You Love Me by Ariana Grande. Admittedly, I’m not caught up on all the Ariana gossip, but this is one hell of a pop song! Thank you Ari and hope you enjoy your time off!

  10. This plaid shirt has become a staple in my closet immediately! The texture is so nice and the brown and blue check is *chef’s kiss*. Just in case you’re addicted to button-ups like I am. Ahhh just checked and this colorway is sold out, but put it on your wishlist or go for the red!

  11. I’m loving the new Ivy sneaker from Rothy’s… They’re so good its making me glad I didn’t shell out for the designer version. Plus they come with extra colorful laces in case you wanna switch it up! The leopard with red laces is fab.

  12. Ref is having a big sale… Some of my very faves are 50% off! Including the Cynthia jean, this super cute red miniskirt, and the white jeans I wear all the time!

This week, one of our besties was in town from NYC and we were trying to book a table for 6 somewhere fab and coordinate timing with baby, work schedules, traffic etc. We ended up just inviting everyone over to ours for an early dinner and baby hang for some true quality time! Now, you know I am a restaurant lover to my core, but sometimes there’s nothing better than a home cooked meal and getting to linger as long as you want with no menu, no bill, no decisions! I actually felt like my own mom that day, running around to events, work meetings, baby swim class and also throwing together a dinner party. It was really fun and simple and I highly recommend inviting your friends for a casual end of summer supper.

Here’s what we made:

I love having a welcome beverage ready when guests arrive! Used these stunning hand painted glasses from Abask for a lil spritz! Fill the cup with ice, add a shot of amaro, top with Lorenza Rosé Bubbly, garnish with a slice of citrus and an olive! Top tip: Add an olive to your cocktails at home! Makes it feel like you’re in Europe.

I was inspired by my friend Ines Glaser of Pizza Tourist and her glorious pistachio pesto, so made that to serve with rigatoni. It’s realllllly good and easy to whip up.

Sliced a bunch of heirloom tomatoes for a Caprese salad to serve on my forever fave Natalia platter. I drizzled some Central Coast Family Farm EVOO, my fave Brightland champagne vinegar and Maldon salt and called it a day!

As I’ve mentioned, I am obsessed with chicken Milanese… I did have some help making this, but here’s a recipe I’d try. The sesame seeds take it to the next level!

For dessert, there was only one choice… Marion Burros’ Plum Torte! I hadn’t made one yet this year and had to remedy that. I forgot that it looks better if the plums sit on top of the batter rather than nestled in before baking, so it wasn’t my most beautiful one, but delicious nonetheless!

We enjoyed it all with a couple bottles of Lorenza Cinsault (chilled red summer forever) and laughed until our cheeks hurt. It was a chill, easy night that was so much more than the sum of its parts.

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend, thanks as always for being here. In case you missed it, here’s last week’s issue on Everything I Wore and More - postcards from Minnesota, NYC and The Hamptons. If you enjoyed reading, give us a heart or leave a comment! Makes my day :)

Hi! We just got back from our Summer holiday and despite traveling with an 8 month old, it actually felt like my first ever vacation. I chose to give myself a break from my weekly publishing schedule and couldn’t be happier about it. And even though I didn’t go to college, I wholeheartedly agree with the below statement…

THE BLT

Hello from Northern Minnesota where I’m very much offline and enjoying summer break! I’ve been coming to my family’s lake house here since I was born and it’s such a special place to me. The day my daughter was born, I said “I can’t wait to bring her to the lake!” It’s been a dream to see her surrounded by family, crawling around on the grass and swimmi…

Best Day Ever?!

Last weekend, the stars aligned and I was able to experience what I’m calling The Best Day Ever. You’re lucky to experience The Best Day Ever a few times a year. Obviously, it’s subjective, but for me, it involves swimming, tennis, al fresco meals, and laughing with friends. I’ve described a version of this day many times in questionnaires and interview…
