Hi! I feel so much gratitude for you all… here in my personal creative corner of the universe, being sporadically expressed through this newsletter. Before moving back to the east coast, the primary audience of these letters was based solely in Aspen… we have since grown to include many new friends far and wide! But today, I am going back to my roots and sharing an incredible event happening in Aspen that is very close to my heart, on August 23rd.

A few fun factoids to begin.

  1. This event is being produced by my genius mother. She is one of the most intellectually fierce, engaged-with-life, and stylish women I have ever had the privilege of knowing; yet alone! the privilege of having her as a mother and my ultimate guide through earth school. She is a forever learner — insatiable! This event is (one of her many) gifts to the world and the generations to come. By disseminating the complex and often illegible (to us normies) contemporary philosophical understandings of the universe and consciousness, her prayer is that we may (should we accept) become more accountable to the aliveness within us, yes, but more importantly to aliveness of the natural and, now, artificial worlds… (Can you imagine what the dinner table conversations were like growing up?)

  2. Last spring, in the event’s inaugural year, she invited me to create the graphic for this event. The brief: to express the divine creativity and deep knowledge of the universe, but to articulate it through… a logo! Sure, no problem! When we started working on imagery and pulling inspiration, it was shaping up to look less cosmically inspired, and more like an outdated middle-school science textbook. When we took a left turn towards the mysticism and the unknown… it started to click. Divine creativity, meets philosophy, meets science, and beyond! The result is below. How did we do?

  3. Last year’s symposium + the following patron dinner sold out — so please pay attention!:

    1. If you are a human (✔️) with a sense of curiosity, and even a shred of a sense of accountability, this event is for you.

    2. If you are a human who loves animals, or at the very least, you love your dog, this event is for you.

    3. If you have ever wondered why we are here, on this spinning rock in the middle of a vast universe we know practically nothing about!, this event is for you.

    4. If you have faith (or inversely, have lost faith!) in humanity, and our ability to do/be better, this event is for you.

With love, see you in Aspen 🌀😎🐙

Join us on Sunday, August 23 for Frontiers of Knowledge, which will bring together internationally recognized scientists, philosophers, authors, and thought leaders to explore one of humanity’s biggest questions: What does it mean to be human in a world of infinite intelligences? This year’s theme, “Consciousness in the Living World,” examines the intersections of human consciousness, animal intelligence, and artificial intelligence through a full day of inspiring talks and conversations at Aspen’s Wheeler Opera House.

A $100 Day Pass includes access to the complete symposium, while the $350 Patron Pass extends the experience with an exclusive evening reception, seated dinner, drinks, entertainment, and the opportunity to connect with speakers and fellow attendees. Whether you’re curious about science, philosophy, technology, or the future of our world, Frontiers of Knowledge offers an unforgettable day of ideas and conversation.
