Worship in Spirit and Truth: The Testimony of Jesus This December

‘The time is come, and now is when those who must worship God must worship in spirit and in truth.’ John 4:23

These were the exact words Jesus said to the woman at the well. Jesus knew she had many questions on her heart, and she needed answers to them. When we go through life, it’s not unusual to wonder, ‘Does God really see me?’ Can I worship God despite my mistakes without feeling like an imposter?

The woman at the well had these questions and more, then she finally met the One who saw her beyond her flaws, beyond her mistakes, yet did not condemn her. Guess what she did right after? She ran into the city and testified of the Man she had met, Jesus.

This is exactly what we’re going to be doing at The Testimony of Jesus. We’re going to worship God without limits, without fears, masks off, no pressure to perform – just worshipping in spirit and in truth, knowing fully well that He sees us, knows us beyond all our flaws, and that with Him we don’t need to be anything outside who He made us.
