Sometimes, I think of planets the way I think of balikbayan boxes—packed with intention, sent across oceans, delayed, rerouted, arriving at the exact moment you’ve almost forgotten what you put inside. That was Neptune, earlier in 2025. For a brief moment, it drifted back into Pisces, after ingressing into Aries, like returning to a childhood home you no longer live in but still recognize by scent alone. The air felt softer then. Dreams were easier to slip into. Boundaries blurred in familiar ways—comforting, but also a little disorienting. Pisces is Neptune’s native water. Its language is feeling without form, prayer without words.
But Neptune wasn’t meant to stay. By January 2026, it slipped forward again into Aries. And this time, it meant it. Neptune will remain in Aries until March 2039, a fourteen-year ingress that replaces water with fire—drifting with direction, surrender with initiation. If Pisces asked us to dissolve, Aries asks us to begin again. To see the fire through the fog.
Neptune has always felt to me like something you can’t quite hold. Not a solid thing, not even a clear thought—more like a mood that lingers in a room long after the music stops. In astrology, Neptune is the planet of dreams, intuition, illusion, and the unseen. It governs the parts of our lives that don’t follow logic—the quiet knowing in your chest, the feeling you get before something happens, the way a song can suddenly undo you without explanation. Intuition.
It’s also where we blur. Where boundaries soften. Where we merge with others, with ideas, with versions of ourselves we’re still trying to understand. At its best, Neptune is magic. It’s creativity, spirituality, compassion. It’s the reason we believe in things we can’t prove—the reason we light candles, say prayers, pull cards, or whisper wishes into the night. It teaches us how to trust what we feel.
But Neptune also carries fog. It can distort, confuse, idealize. It can make something seem more beautiful than it is, or more possible than it might be. It can keep us drifting when we’re meant to move with intention.
Maybe that’s why its movement matters so much. Because wherever Neptune goes, it doesn’t just change what we do—it changes how we perceive. What we believe. What we’re willing to surrender to. And now, it’s teaching us how to dream in fire.
