The Metamodern Retreat in Vermont Has Been Cancelled

Dear friends,

I regret to inform you that the metamodern retreat in Vermont at Sky Meadow Retreat August 28 - August 31, that I recently invited you to has been cancelled.

This decision has nothing to do with the wonderful team at Sky Meadow Retreat, including Brendan Graham Dempsey, who have been incredibly welcoming and professional. I deeply appreciate their support.

The cancellation is solely due to my misunderstanding of U.S. visa regulations. I recently discovered that engaging in a commercial event in the United States would require a costly and very time-consuming bureaucratic process for both me and my American partners. Given the rather limited financial scope of the retreat I have realized that proceeding just is not worth it.

That said, I am still going to the United States this fall, but only as a guest speaker at a number of events that I will not receive any monetary compensation for. So stay tuned if you want to meet me later this year.
