Melody Hansen · PRETEND IT EXISTS

We’ve made it together.
I welcome in a new year
with fearlessness, wonder, courage,
and drive!
For you and me

In 2026, I hope you dream big
and do what you dream.

I hope you take risks
and let your mind know you are full of courage,
face your day unafraid,
I will do the same.

In the Chinese zodiac, starting February 17th, we enter the year of the Red Fire Horse.

Before I knew of this year’s animal, I had drafted out this year’s calendar with drawings I drew of horses last summer. I’ve been drawing a lot of horses lately! Not only that, but I’m a 1990 baby, and I just learnt 1990 is, also, a year of the horse! My spirit is aligned!

I feel very strongly about this year 2026, consequently. The horse reflects power, drive, courage, ambition. This is the year to do! To pursue! To be disciplined, and therefore, to be free!

I made a 2026 vision board last night: intentionally printing out unfinished projects, goals I’ve been afraid to accomplish [we are learning to drive in the year of the horse], and the color red—and yes, that is Jacob Elordi. It’s very personal to me, an intimate process putting it together, framed beside my bed so I wake up to it every day.

Leaning into red this year, because the best way to align myself with this vision and the red fire horse’s strength and confidence is to physically immerse myself. Ironically, I had made a bedroom moodboard a year ago and it includes a lot of red. What a perfect time for it!

I sense so much magic for you and for me in the air.

What do you feel for this year?
What parts of yourself are you investing in?
What parts of yourself do you need confidence in?
What parts of yourself could use the courage of the Red Fire Horse?

Included in my 2026 vision board, the world of Bob Fosse entrances me! Dancer, choreographer and director, his movements are electric. I’m moving like Bob Fosse in 2026. Unafraid. Unashamed. Playfully.

I think of life itself now as a wonderful play that I've written for myself, and so my purpose is to have the utmost fun playing my part.
—Shirley MacLaine
